She graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and for ten years practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in the tax divisions of international and local accounting firms.
In 1994, she graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Tulsa College Of Law. She also studied international law during the summer of 1991 in Budapest, Hungary; and the summer of 1993 in Brussels, Belgium.
